The U18 team got off to a great start during the July Boston Chowder Cup. Having not practiced together and many having not played together the team was able to go 1-1-1 over the 3 games. In the first game the U18 Generals played a team in the NA3HL, made up primarily of U20 players, and were able to win 4-3. In the next game the Generals played a team from the NAPHL, a team that plays together year round and is in the best U18 team in the country. The Generals dropped the game 6-2 but played there best hockey in the second half and were able to compete much more than the score indicated. In the final game of the weekend the Generals tied the Boston Knights 4-4. The Knights made up of players from elite prep-schools were a tough team but the Generals did themselves proud by battling to a well earned tie.
